Long bank holiday away, needed a place to stay Friday night after a late Eurotunnel. Only an hour south of Calais. Beautiful first impression, sweeping drive and chateau all lit up. Huge room, tasefully and neutrally decorated. Only there for a night, but could have quite happily stayed for longer.

During our recent stay, we had a wonderful time at a charming chateau close to the rail station and the beautiful Somme area of Picardie. the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding tourist spots and enjoying the local restaurants up to the reviews I had read online. the room was clean and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. the service was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. the breakfast was delightful, with a variety of tasty options to choose from. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful view from our window, which added to the pleasant atmosphere of the chateau.
We were disappointed to discover that the Wi-Fi was not accessible from our room, which was inconvenient for us.

The area is beautifully peaceful. We have been to the Baie de la Somme on many occassions and were not disappointed. St Valery s Somme is charming and has a wide range of restaurants.
We have stayed in several chateaux and would not return to this one. It was expensive for what we were given in terms of a room. We were not impressed by the customer service and felt the welcome to be cold and somewhat false. The facilities for refreshments reside in a (leaking) greenhouse away from the chateau and there were no clean cups and no milk of any sort. It was clean and relatively quiet.

Enjoyed my sleep,
The welcome was not friendly. The room - one of the most expensive had no phone or TV. It was average size; the bathroom was well equipped.

Spent an enjoyable xmas at a charming countryside hotel. Loved the spacious communal areas and the lovely surroundings, perfect for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was great, with a good range of choices and the staff were attentive and helpful. The rooms were elegantly decorated and had comfortable furnishings, making it a lovely retreat during the winter season.
The price was quite high, although it was expected given the prime location and luxurious amenities. The lack of TV in the room was not a major issue for us, however, some guests may find it disappointing.

I chose the chateau as I was looking for somewhere romantic within easy reach of Calais as I was planning to propose to my girlfriend on the morning after we arrived. On arrival I discreetly asked if we could have breakfast in our room along with a bottle of champagne. They don't normally do breakfast in the room apparently but would happily do it for this special occasion. On top of everything else they brought in a bouquet of flowers. Very impressive. It bowled her over and she accepted (hopefully not just because of the place). The room (Canard Pilet) was beautiful, elegant, very tastefully (and recently from appearances) decorated and clean. Lovely bathroom and access to the terrace through the large windows. A little bit expensive but then it was a special occasion.

This hotel was a real gem - tucked away in a beautiful large orchard, it offered great value for money. The attention to detail was evident throughout, from the charming rooms with their own terrace, to the freestanding bath in the chateaux. The breakfast was a highlight, with apple juice sourced from the domain's orchard and delicious apple jam.
All was perfect in this hotel.
